How long does the stock analyzer take to run?

The performance of the analyzer is inherently dependent on individual computer specs, internet connection speed, and the Morningstar website. Generally, it will take less than 60 seconds to run. The code is designed such that if the Morningstar website isn’t loading for whatever reason, the algorithm will time-out and alert the user.

What happens if Morningstar changes their website and the analyzer doesn’t work as expected, or ceases to work all together?

Being that the analyzer takes information directly from the Morningstar website, if they make significant changes to their website, it could cause the code to cease working. In the two years of using the analyzer, Morningstar has made one significant update that required updating the analyzer code. Going forward, with any new Morningstar updates, the analyzer will also be updated. The corrected analyzer will either be emailed out or made available to re-download from the YouBestInvest.com website. The stock analyzer is the sole tool I use for analyzing stocks and its functionality is critical. I work hard to ensure the tool is stable and updated when necessary.

What is your refund policy?

I want to make this tool available to help the average person understand how to value stocks. I’m not here to get rich or take advantage, thus the reason why it’s so cheap relative to other investment tools available on the internet. With that in mind, if for whatever reason you’re not satisfied with the tool, I’ll offer a full refund if requested within 14 days of purchase.

When are refunds not given?

If any sign of abuse is detected from your account, your membership will be suspended, and you will not be eligible for any refund. Abuse includes using any types of scripts to break through any password protection within the tool, reselling the software without permission, sharing accounts, claiming ownership.

We reserve the right to determine what constitutes abuse and disable any membership deemed in violation.

How do I contact you if I have questions regarding the tool?

The easiest way to contact me is to use the Contact page within the YouBestInvest.com website. You can also email me directly at Shaun@YouBestInvest.com. I will respond to all questions/comments submitted.

What version of Windows / Excel will the analyzer work on?

The analysis tool has been tested on Windows Vista, 7, 8.1, and 10, with Excel 2007 and 2013. No compatibility issues were found. However, your version of Excel must be able to enable Macros. The free/starter versions of Excel that don't allow Macros will not work.

How Accurate is the data?

The spreadsheet connects to the well-respected Morningstar website. The raw data is as accurate as you’d find browsing through their direct website.

How many years’ worth of data does it display?

If you have a Morningstar.com account, you can use the tool to Login and it’ll display a full 10 years of data and the previous 5 quarters. If you don’t have an account, that’s okay, you’ll still see the last 5 years of data and the previous 5 quarters.

Does the tool work on all stocks?

The tool will only work for US listed stocks. In addition, not all types of stocks display the same data. Therefore, not every calculation will work for every stock. For example, financial stocks will not work as well because their financial statements are significantly different than others.

What subscriptions do I need to use the tool?

There are no outside subscriptions required to run the tool. The tool does require that you sign-in to the YouBestInvest.com website before it’ll let you begin analyzing. Upon purchasing the tool, you’ll receive and email invite to register as a member. Once you’ve registered, you can begin using the tool. The website sign-in feature was to help hinder piracy of the tool.
